Well guys...it never fails....where ever I go there is sure to be some weather system that follows. There was even a running joke when I was working that no one was ever going away with me. We have been sorta lucky this past week. Missing all the nasties that was happening in my and my daughter's home base was neat...but alas...I knew that my luck was about to change.
As usual , whenever I travel some biggie is usually not far behind! Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Florida!Last year while spending 6 nights in Disney.... 5 of them was during that in/out hurricane-tropical storm.
A week after I left Gulfport , MS in 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit, I was driving to Gettysburg one year and tornado warnings were issued and we actually had driven in that storm just missing the touchdown areas(touchdown occurred right after I drove over a bridge). I was on my way to the PA RenFaire and was caught in a storm and when we looked up we saw a sideways rotating cloud- btw..it was the most awesome sight I ever saw.
In the 90's while driving up from FL - we left early to "beat" the hurricane....and got caught driving all the way up the cost in the bands. We went to Atlantic City and the storm that wasn't supposed to hit..did. Another time we left NJ -again- to beat a system only to have it hit my areas!
So....here we go again....yikes...and this time we are going on a cruise!
