I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day today! I had to share this with my Gather friends...
After 30 years of marriage, if you are as lucky as my husband and I are, you blend together as a couple to the point of thinking alike. You can finish each other's sentences, know what the other one is going to order in a restaurant, know from just a look what the other is thinking, etc. Well, this year for Valentine's Day, I was blessed to have my hubby home from Iraq. (And, for our 30th anniversary on Tuesday, the 17th... can it really have been that long??!!)
Well, to continue my story... This morning when we exchanged Valentine's Day cards... we handed each other the same EXACT box of candy!!! I had purchased the one I was giving him a few weeks back at Target and he arrived home a week ago and ended up buying the same exact one at the same store a few days ago! What are the odds of that? The only explanation is that after all these years we just know each "inside and out."
Happy Valentine's Day!

That is just incredible....that you picked out the very same candy for each other!!!!!!!!! My son got me a small vase of mini roses, and hubby got me a bouquet of beautiful mixed flowers!
I'm sure you had a very wonderful Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentines Day to you and your husband. Sending special anniversary wishes too.
;-)
Seriously, I'm glad he is here. And besides, you could never get matching cards...one says "for my wife" and the other "for my husband", right?
HOW FUN!
Happy Valentine's Day :)
Congrats on 30 years. Wow!
Happy Anniversary and I am glad your hubby is home to celebrate it with you. Thank him for me and my family for being there for us!
My husband and I will celebrate 28 yrs together. We were really both rather down in the dumps this year, as we didn't have the money for gifts. I did get him a card and he sent me a ecard, and was so apologetic about it. This is the first time we haven't had the money for anything. But that is alright, because we have enough love to last us another 28+ years even if there isnt' money for anything.
THanks for sharing your wonderful story
woo hoo... God bless you and your precious family...

I'm happy for you!
I know this was last week, but that's an awesome story. My hubby and I have been married 28 years and are that way, but our tastes in candy are totally different that this would never happen. He loves chocolate and valentine hearts. I love black licorice and peanut butter. We both share our love of the Lord and NASCAR. We are FANatics!!! Happy belated anniversary. I hope it was wonderful. My hubby Jeff and I have never worked on our anniversary and treat that as we would another holiday! Love is wonderful! Hugs ~ Denise
My parents have been married over 40 years. It's wonderful see that people still stay married a long time :)
How wonderful to have 30 years union..
How wonderful to still celebrate Valentines day with candy!
And how cool is that..30 years of bliss ..Congratulations
My husband and I think the same way over the important issues and can finish each others sentence.
