The kids got a book the other day at the library called "If I Were A Lion". The little girl in the story has to sit in the "time-out chair" because her mother says she's being "wild". This prompts the child to think of all the things she would do if she really were a wild animal. If she was a lion she'd "growl and roar and knock the dishes to the floor"; if she were a bear she'd "have big claws.....rip up pillows with my paws"; and so on. It's a really cute book.

The back jacket has little blurbs about the author and illustrator of the book. Each blurb has what both the author and illustrator would be if they were wild (an otter and a lion). This made me think of what I would be if I were wild. I would be a mountain lion. They're long and lean and muscular, sleek and beautiful. They're strong and quiet, and you don't want to mess with one. I saw one once when I was a kid. We were coming home from my grandma's and grandpa's, and I looked out my window and up a hill where a power line went through. There was a stump and on it was a mountain lion. They are awesome. That's what I would be if I were wild.

What would you be?

Hmmm.....I would like to be an elephant
I'd be some kind of fish that could swim deep down in the tropical waters and see all the beauty that lies beneath the sea.
I'd be a polar bear! But hopefully before global warming :(
Blessings...
sounds like such a fun book...
This is an interesting story - I like it!
I don't know what I would want to be, maybe a leopard or some other wild cat.
