She whispers it. She questions it. She screams it! Non-stop when the lights are out. She calls for him to come to her. She tells him she loves him, that she's a good girl, she just won't stop!!
I'm talking about our 6-month old Goffin Cockatoo. She coos to me and wants to be held. She doesn't talk around me. Scratch her head and she'll give you sweet kisses forever. But Robert, my husband come into the room, and there is lust in her eyes.
What I love to do is go out of the room and hear her talk to him. At night, when all the lights are out she practices her words. She'll say his name and other words in different tones and volumes, like she's trying to get it just right. Yesterday, she said "I love you".

She'd sometimes "present" herself to him as if he were a male cat!
My dad and his dog, poor baby, scarlett, she is a miniture dotsin, and on top of it, she is also a runt, so she is real small. She is Daddies girl, if you try to kiss him good night, she will ram her head in between you and growl at you. Granted you could pick her up with your fingers and toss her, but its too funny to get mad. She did bite someone once, but I am sure you can tell from the size of her, she didnt break the skin.
On Sundays (Like Yesterday) the Patriots play, my dad has a full body Patriots Jersey for her and he ignores all the other dogs and grabs his baby scarlett, puts on her Jersey and they go watch the game together. While it is so unbelieveable cute, it's a little much as well. But that is how the love my daddy gives his girls.... Men and there babies.. such suckers! :) Great article and way too cute!
