Survey question....do you like storms?

If it is just a storm and not accompanied with a Tornado threat, yes.

I have mixed feelings. As long as they don't do any damage, I don't mind them. They can actually be very relaxing.

As for the lightening, I enjoy attempting to photograph it. Last night I was out getting shots of cloud-to-cloud lightening.

I like the smell of rain.

Just a light thunder storm.

I love storms!

I love the whipping wind and the smell of pending rain, but I don't like damaging hurricanes and tornadoes!

As a child I loved them. As an adult and homeowner they aren't as thrilling anymore.

I like a good thunderstorm - I even like to watch tornadic winds to a certain point, but when large objects start flying I'm straight to the basement!

I love lightening. I put on a steel spiked helmet and go outside to sing in the rain when it's lightening.

They are so rare out here in San Diego that when they happen it's a fun event. All the kids love them. Even a simple rain shower is fun.

No I hate storms. They frieghten me. the lightening and thunder. I dont mind a rain without all that fuss.

I'm not scared unless it's a really, really bad one.
Then I would be a bit stupid not to be scared I think.

I like them as lomg as they aren't too bad.

not really because it means that I can't walk or ride my bike.

Even storms can be very dangerous down here in South Florida, and they are very frequent, and I for sure do not like them. There can be something very calming about the rain storms though, as long as the lightning does not hit right next to our house.

ok its storming here now,,, we were outside with family and within minutes, wind pick up and then just rain, not downpour, and I mean side pour, all over, with thunder and lightening,, now as I type this there goes a boom.

I like the rain, but the hard wind and lightning, no thanks!

I love storms. I especially enjoy watching the monsoon storms we get here and trying to take photos of lightning, although my current house is not as good of a location to get them as when I used to do it at my parent's house because of all the surrounding houses.

I love the rain, the lightning, the thunders, the whole nine yard:) but no tornadoes or hurricanes please.

I love storms! I used to be afraid of them as a child, ask my Dad how I used to stand by his bedside during a storm and he would wake up to see me standing next to him in the flash from the lightening! I scared him a lot. As I got older I would watch the storms pass with my Dad and comment on the lightening and how beautiful it was. Now I just love to watch storms they are very exciting!

I don't particularly like storms. They have done much damage to some of my friends' homes and created a lot of expense and trouble for them and some inconvenience for our family. I praise God it wasn't worse than that. I don't mild mild rain showers but am not a fan of lightning. The dogs get worked up and the big one follows me and gets under my feet, even if I have to use the toilet or shower! Try taking a shower with an 80 pound dog and you tell me if you still like storms. LOL.

As long as I am not alone and another adult is around.. then I do not have too much of a problem.. or if it is during the day, but when the lights go out at night.. i freak and get scared cuz I cannot see in the dark at all...

I think that storms are just amazing to watch, it is so inspiring to run home in heavy rain.

Sometimes. It depends on how big the storm is. I have sky lights in the loft of my condo so if there is a huge storm sometimes is sounds like the ceilling is going to cave in. Yes, really!!!

Rain I like but not wind storms, or thunder and lightning.

I love storms of all kinds: ice, snow, rain, etc.

I hate snow storms but LOVE the really strong thuderstorms. Especially the ones where the thunder is so loud it sounds like it's coming from inside the earth!! Oh, and the sound of the rain beating against the window...I can't think of a better sound to go to sleep to!! SO RELAXING!!!!

I like them if they are far away.... I like to hear the rain and the rolling thunder, and lightning is pretty if it isn't too close! :D

I hate storms!!!!!!! I got caught in a tornado in 1977 with some friends in the basement of my best friend's house Jim and I hid under the pool table but Christy and Todd stayed on the top stair to watch the storm. tornados ripped thru the small town that we were in. Jim and I were the only 2 to make it out alive, Christy and Todd were crushed as the house caved in. I had a broken arm and a few cuts that needed stitches and Jim needed to have stitchs in a five inch cut on his leg as well as a broken wrist. We were trapped for six hours after the storm was over. When we were finally rescued Christy and Todds parents asked where they were we couldn't answer the emt's had to step in and tell them that their children didn't make it. I had nightmares for months after that and to this day I still get paniced when a storm comes around. I either hide when my husband is not home or if he is home I'm cuddled right up next to him and hide my face when lightenning strikes or jump into his lap when the thundr sounds.

I love bad storms, strong wind, lightening, thunder, and the trees rocking in the wind. However, if I lived in an area that was prone to tornados or hurricanes, I would not like it.
