Headed Camping...

My wife and I are headed camping tomorrow with her family for a night. I of course think we need to pack minimal things and just go have a good time. She is planning it like it is a month long survival adventure. Help us settle something....What things would you take camping for ONE night? Food is being done by her brother and family, sleeping materials already there, so anything else??? I hope to show her this and maybe she will realize we don't need ALL that stuff...LOL

I like indoor camping! We grab sleeping bags, blankets and pillows, watch a movie in the dark and then fall asleep where we land.

It is always better to have too much than not have enough when you're camping. Just get out of her way and let her have fun.

What I take for one night of camping-a tent,air bed,pillows,blankets,flash lights,cooler w/ice and drinks and food,bug spray,towel,washcloths,clothes,any and everything you want.lol Hope you have fun on your camping adventure.Oh ya and a fishing pole if your going fishing.

We always take jerky that we make at home. I prefer Turkey Jerky...you can find a whole bunch of turkey jerky recipes at http://beefjerkyrecipes.com/jerky/meat-type/turkey-jerky-recipes/ . Jerky is low in fat, high in protein, and super convenient since it is so compact and has a long shelf life. It really isnt as difficult as people think to make your own homemade jerky. Try it out!
