John Testor had a telephone conference the other day to get an idea of how Montanans felt and the questions we had about health care. That a far cry from what Baucus did before he submitted his poorly thought out bill.
Dear John'
It was with pleasure that I listened to your recent telephone conference. Unfortunately I never got the opportunity to ask my questions.
I am impressed that you did this and disappointed the Baucus did not before submitting his proposed plan. I have a feeling you might represent us a lot better.
It's unfortunate that most questions concerned Medicare but I guess since it was sponsored by AARP that was to be expected.
Now my comments: Will we the people have time to study the final bill and submit our comments before it is submitted for a vote? It is hard to discuss a bill when it has not even been written.
Second, Will you demand in some way that Congress will have adequate time to study the bill before a vote, Say a month or two? I don't want to see or hear of another hurry-up vote like they had in the House on that convoluted mess commonly called a Cap and Trade bill that is nothing but a monstrous tax increase and will do nothing for the environment. I am already tired of this administration's rush to legislate without any time for our representatives in the Senate and House to study bills.
Is there any way to prevent any approved Health Care bill from becoming a political football every time there is an election? If it is our coverage could change at the whim of a future President or Congress. Maybe there could be a way to set it up as an insurance company without any interference from government other than normal oversight to see that it is run honestly. That I would vote for.
A word of encouragement. Don't let Washington D.C. corrupt you. Tell yourself every morning, "I am a farmer (Rancher) not a politician and I represent the people of Montana"
Shucks I might even vote for you next go around and that my friend is a complement since I am not a Democrat. I am completely independent and one with the Campaign for Liberty movement.
Thank you for your attention;
Colonel George Wright

Unless we can assemble a Tea Party of 5 to 10 million of us on the mall in Washington to protest all of the government takeovers that are in process, including our health care system, it will happen and Senator Testor will have nothing to say about it.
Anyway he knows how this voter feels, thats the best I can do since I can't walk very well and could not hold up on a big march on DC even if I had the $s to do it. I would love to see 10 million there. If you go you might meet my Son who knows?
I wonder if a recall election could be held on the whole nest of rattlers.
This is an internal fight among the Democrats, and the leadership has a winning track record. If the Dems resolve their differences, the 'We the people" must make the next move or become wards of the government. That would mean that a lot of guys who have died for our freedom since 1776 have died for nothing.
Good night.
It would mean I killed a lot of people for nothing, I might have to charge up my wheel chair after all and beg the money someplace to join the March. Actually I think the killing started in 1775.
Good Night friend it's off to bed for me.
You go Col.
:)
Your comments about the health care system becoming a political football has also been on my mind a lot, and I think the reason that Obama is trying so hard to get a bi partisan consensus is to prevent that from happening. When there is such a sharp divide between the opposing parties, the risk of repeal is real. It is important that the opposition accepts the legislation as legitimate, useful, and a benefit to themselves as well as the rest of the country.
Health Care is near and dear to out lives. We will talk about it and agrue to our heart's content while they work on the most important issues facing our country.
They will work to Defeat the Audit the Fed Bill - It would be the end of the Fed.
They will work to pass Cap and Trade - It is nothing but a tax bill that will finally completely put the nation under federal control
Obama will go to Copenhagen and sigh the treaty. Then they will work on it being ratified. - It will turn our government, and nation, over to the UN.
All the while we will be consentrating on the smoke and not the fire that will consume us.
