WE ARE ASKING THE WRONG QUESTIONS OF THE CANDIDATES

None of the candidates would want to answer any of these questons, except with a lie about what they are going to do.

Then it would be a mistake to vote for them

Good article Col George, But who do we beliieve when they tell us what we want to hear. We all know they make. a lot promises they know they are not going to do. But they all do that

We believe the only candidate who has already stated his ideas on those subjects and fought against them in the House. We believe the only candidate who has historically fought for the Constitution and against the corruption of that document.

It would not be McCain.....and Ron Paul's ideas as nice as they sound are not effective in a world where we need a Federal Government rather than a balkanised 'States Rights'/ 50 government solution.

We just need them to uphold protect and defend the Constitution as had been done prior to Nixon and now Bush.

balkanised? Well louis he is the only one that has the record to prove his stance against all of those things. I think it is more important to have a strong nation than a strong government. Right now we have too strong of a government and a nation on its knees

I should Dorothy but as some have said they would only lie. They don't discuss these things because they agree and voted FOR them. Obama not so much because he has not been around very long.

Again for the 4th time, I salute you Colonel. Your questions are excellent but how where do we get the answers? Do you know or are you just putting it out there / here? If there is a way to find out, I am gonna check some voting record. I'll get back to you - maybe there is nothing there. It's hard to say if there will be much on Obama (only served in U.S. Senate = 143 days and missed 44% of votes.

Here are two (2) questions, I'd like to put out there:

1) Which of the Candidates will push for abolishing the electorate college in favor of using the popular vote for the primaries?
This is one way we could get a grass roots reflection directly from the public, The party's have too much control during the primaries and limit the candidates that can get on the ballot. Maybe 3rd party candidates would have a better chance. The conventions are a joke because we know who the candidates already.

2) Which candidate will push for general campaign finance reform which ensures the use of public financing?

The amount of money these guys raise is OBSCENE! They might as well just buy the election. Besides so much of the money is tainted by lobbyists and fat-cat donors in spite of an increase in the number of small-time donors. That big money will influence the POTUS somehow and someway for the four years after the election.

Great points indeed! You might want to check out an interesting DVD I got called 'Secret Mysteries of America's Beginnings: The New Atlantis.' The elites have been in charge of a lot of things for many years, but we shouldn't let that slow us down as we try to restore freedom. The major candidates are just going to do what their puppet masters tell them, so representative government is basically on life support. It's up to us to learn how to become more self-sufficient and form more organic networks, to replace the decaying artificial structures. That's one good thing about the paper money inflation -- it's making us become more local-oriented and efficient, so keep spreading the good word of freedom!

Soozan, Ron Paul answered every single one of those questions at the time the legislation was enacted and during his campaign. His ideas were labled too radical and kooky. Now we are seeing that he was right on.

He predicted the mess with Fanny Mae and Fredie Mac Five years ago. You can find his speach from then by looking at my articles.

He fought against the Iraq war and is the only candidate that did. He fought against the Patriot act and again was the only candidate that did. He fought against the Homegrown Terrorist Act and Real ID. He has fought for our rights and the ending of the Bush wars every time.

Obama claims he was against the Iraq war but he was not in congress at the time. At one time he said he voted against it untill someone told him he could not have done that.

Both Obama and McCain have voted FOR every appropiation to keep the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and occupations going.

Jeff, if you had been reading my articles you would know I agree with you. I push for Ron Paul because he is the only non CFR candidate and is not controled by the shadow Bilderburgs. That is why he never got any press and never got the endorcement from his own party.

I have said numerous time that Bush is only to fornt man. Why do you think I nearly always refer to him as Bush & Co?

Jeff, I have a federal lawsuit pending in my local district court against the corruption. Conspiracy is the key issue. I named 17 defendents, including the US, my home state, city and county, and several big businesses, with more to be added later. Ihis is a very difficult situation for me, but I have no intenetions of giving up. I could use all the advice and information I can get.
I recently rreceived a response from the state attorney general. He stated, emphaticallyand repeatedly, that he does not represent "the people" of the state, but that he represents the state "in its official capacity."
That immediatley made me think that he would be a perfect candidate to volunteer to go on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney, even if he had to be dragged out there.
BTW. You mentioned the Federal Reserve. Try looking way farther than that. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are the ones that have everything in their hip pockets, including the Federal Reserve. But, you can rest assured, their mission will be what brings about their own demise.

Like you all, I am a fan of Ron Paul, but if you are going to be a politician (And EVERYONE who runs for office is a politician no matter what they claim) you cannot be a one trick pony. He and Lou Dobbs both have the same chance of success.

Abolishing the electoral college is great idea ifyopu want to make sure the heartland of the country become politically irrelevant. Politicians will only campaign in population centers.............LA NYC, Chicago, Miami. In other words it will ensure Democrat presidents forever............but then again that's really the point isn't it?

I am not sure about the electoral college. I think a lot of the people in the big cities don't vote and people in the heartland do, but as I said not sure.

Why did we have electoral college in the first place - to keep big states from having too much power? Now there are more big states.

I noticed someone talking in another thread about the debate last night and how there were a lot of Ron Paul republicans outside. Personally, I'd have been really interested in seeing Paul's comments on the questions.

McCain voted For the Patriot act. Obama was not in the Senate at the time but he has voted FOR every act in support of the Patriot Act and all of the modifications.

I agree with most of what you said here. But we do have a lot of alternative media now, especially on the internet. The mainstream stuff is rapidly losing its relevance -- look at the newspapers that have folded! Citizens are waking up, just not fast enough. We do want the truth, but it's just a bit harder to find. I think the future will see self-sufficiency as playing a greater role -- it's already happening, due to fiat money inflation and high energy prices. We just need to keep informing and fighting the good fight. Thanks for posting this!

If we keep up the good fight maybe in 2010 we can elect a few good people and then in 2012 a few more. Maybe a true Constitutionalist will have a chance is 2012 if it is not too late. The true battle for our government is in the Senate and House races. That is where we need strong believers in our Constitutional Republic.
