Another gather member sent me this link and I watched the video footage from the Reagan Library debate. The following is what I gleaned from a portion of that video... and the attitude displayed here is disturbing to me. The words are transcribed from what Dr. Paul was saying, and the absolute lack of respect and looking at each other like they had an inside joke was not amusing nor acceptable IMO.

"It comes about because we have a Federal Reserve that creates money and credit out of thin air, there's a lot of malinvestment. That's the most important thing to understand about the inflation of the monetary system

is the malinvestment. Then later on people suffer, you wipe out a middle class and the evil of it all... it's the vehicle for financing wars that we shouldn't be in, and a welfare state that we shouldn't be doing.

Above: When the underlined words above the picture were being spoken, the camera caught McCain and Romney looking as though they share an 'inside joke' and that Ron Paul is the butt of it. The truth is, the joke's on US.

The bottom line is that nobody can dispute any of what Ron Paul is saying. They don't even try. They assume if they appear to take him as a joke that their viewers will do likewise: "Monkey See, Monkey Do."
Anyone who listens to what he's saying, fully comprehends what he means and still thinks that the Federal Reserve is okay must somehow be part and parcel of the overall problem if you ask me.

Thanks for sharing this. I just wish folks really did some work to find out who these people are who are ASKING OUR PERMISSION to be our Commander in Chief!
Ghoul... I think Ron Paul has always been respectful of and toward all the other candidates, Democratic or Republican. I can not say that about ANY of the others. Not one.
; )
I like Ron Paul, and understood what he as saying, but I don't believe, at this time, that anything can be done about it. Perhaps, when things get bad enough, it will shift the majority of peoples priorities, and open their minds a little. Too bad things may have to get that bad, in order for people to wake up.
Larry, thank you for bringing up the point that the problem has been snowballing for the past century or longer, and that the most recent administrations (Rep OR Dem!) may have accelerated the pace but they certainly did NOT create the whole problem all by themselves.
Shannon, I won't let anyone scare me... my God is bigger than the problems. But I may expatriate myself if the next administration is as tyrannical as I foresee... Canada and Peru are looking very interesting as options.
Dorothy, you're probably right. And I don't know if people WILL ever wake up. They enjoy the stupor they've been lulled into... most of 'em, anyway. Sex, drugs, TV, sports... plenty of activities to occupy oneself to the exclusion of that which we all should be focusing upon.

(Not that I'm saying that sex, drugs, sports and TV are bad per se, but moderation is the key to everything. If you spend an inordinate amount of time on it, perhaps you should re-evaluate your priorities. If this statement annoyed you, it may be YOU that the message is meant for.)
Ellen, I didn't think it was only me that felt this way. Not only do they appear condescending, but IMO the best way to describe the candidates that are NOT Ron Paul is to use an old saying from the cowboy and Indian movies:
"White men speak with forked tongue."
For example: who CARES what their budget plans are if they insist on perpetuating the Federal Reserve System which makes our money's value so illusory most of us can hardly grasp the truth of it any more?
