In Kansas, a postcard that was mailed in 1914 featuring Santa Claus has just arrived. Yes, 93 years later, it somehow got to where it was going. Can you believe it? From what I could gather in the article, it was mailed from Nebraska and nobody really knows where it spent all these years or how it managed not to get thrown away. The post office decided they wanted the family of the intended recipient to still have the postcard so they put it into an envelope and put postage on it. (The postcard only had a 1 cent stamp) and mailed it to family.
Isn't this fascinating? It was a small article in our local paper, but one that intrigued me and I wanted to share it with all of you.
