What if?

Repost of one of the few poems I have written and posted whenI first began on gather. 

 

Have you ever pondered the 'What if's" of life?

The "Would'ves, Could'ves and Should'ves" of Life?

Trying to recapture some day long gone by,

Just a few minor adjustments and everything would be fine.

 

I spent so much time living life in the past,

Instead of enjoying each day as if it was the last.

Enjoy the gift and the beauty of each coming dawn,

In the mere blink of an eye it could all be gone.

 

I especially want to thank and dedicate this to Elsie.  It was her wonderful poem on dreams that gave me the inspiration that took me away from my norm and inspired me to pen a bit of poetry.
