I was anxious to read "Release Your Brilliance, The 4 Steps to Transforming Your Life and Revealing Your Genius To the World" by Simon T. Bailey (Harper Collins, 19.95).
Although I've read a few other similar books I'm always curious if another writer has anything new to say. Bailey unfortunately does not. He tells us himself on page 19: "No doubt you'll recognize some familiar principals and concepts. Realize there is nothing new under the sun. If it's new it's not true; and if it's true, it's not new." So why read on?
Read on if you have all the free time you need and because a message repeated in a different language or with different metaphors may give you that "aha moment" which may indeed change your life.
Although having a person to be accountable to certainly makes a difference when beginning an exercise, diet, or abstinence program, Bailey suggests pairing up with a "Brilliander." Not a bad suggestion but finding one may be a task more difficult than releasing your brilliance on your own, given the seemingly endless barrage of programs and secrets flung at us every day.
The diamond analogies are tiresome but again, this may be the chord that strikes you. After all, aren't we all looking for the same thing; to be brilliant every day which will lead to getting everything we've ever wanted? This book may be your magic pill. It's not mine.
