It does not take much to make me happy.

We have been almost 60 days with no rain. One day we had about eleven minutes of soft showers, that probably would not have gotten you wet if you walked out in it.

As of fifteen minutes before noon in Texas, after thundering since before daylight. It started raining. I mean actually raining. Hard enough to make me go to the front porch and do the happy dance.

It was rolling down the hill and making trails of water running swiftly in front of me. Paint was doing the happy dance too. The hard rain has stopped now. But I will take a Miracle no matter how small . Thank you God for the rain you have given me.

I know some are being flooded and getting more than thier share, but we lost our crops, and the water source for our animals to find drinks. Other than the water we supply to them from the well. But how long could we go without rain, before that source dried up too.

Norma, I know I've asked several times had you gotten rain yet, so this is a very good surprise. I hope it cooled you down too, as it has here. The rain was no doubt a wonderful way to start your day. It was mine also.

It had not happened yet when I was commenting to your articles this morning. It has been thundering for many months and the skies get grey, rain many places but not here. It finally happened. Now it is over. But after the first big one when my sweet friend Michelle showed up. Not long after she walked in the door we had another pretty good little shower.

yesterday it was 101, so when I saw rain off in the distance, we hopped in the van and chased it, Norma.... Didn't catch up, but the air just behind it was SOOO much cooler! Then driving back home, I found a rescure farm with horses, emus, ostrich and Llama!! Worth the chase, yeah....:)

So happy for you Norma!! We need some of that rain really bad here in Michigan too! The grass is getting all brown and the crops need water bad!

Despite 'claiming' there's a bit of a drought here, it rains all the time, so I don't see how we can have a shortage of water. especially with a city that has a river running through the middle of it and is located on the short of a Great Lake.

Norma, the sky just fell on us. Of course it started right before 4pm and went through rush hour. It was a doozie. Tornadoes, strong winds, damage, power outages. Not as bad as last time, I don't think, but it was rough enough. Or so the dogs insist. And it wasn't any fun for me either. Our back yard flooded near the porch. Hope the basement didn't flood. But oh, it is so cool and comfortable. Opened all the windows.

We have had our share of rain...a couple times it poured then here come those huge hail stones !! We sat in the common area of our housing nad watched bounce off the picnic table the hail piled up on the front lawn it looked like a snow bank !!
I loved how you thnaked out Creator for the rains, we must remember that all things come from Him and to thank Him for all we receive from Him.

Barbara, I thank him every morning when my feet hit the floor, that they still can. That I am able to get myself a cup of cofee and I have this computer, to talk to my friends.
I am laughing at myself for thinking those kids were so foolish for wasting time on all the electronic equipment. But now I have Adult friends here, that really care about me.

I've witnessed the miracle of rain. You can water your flowers/garden with your hose/sprinkler and it will help. However, after a nice rain, it's amazing to see the difference it makes in a matter of hours! I recall one spring break when my girlfriend and I were in Arizona and it was raining there. They were so excited about the rain that the radio station we were listening to played nothing but rain songs! What a riot! Glad you got some badly needed rain. Now it's my turn! ;) ~pif~

Glad you got some rain. We haven't had much for several weeks either but there are heavy thunderstorms forecast for the coming weekend. My yard could use the rain especially since I've been gone for several days and no one is watering.

Tara from what I just finished watching on the weather channel , you guys are getting some pretty rotten flooding. But Kentucky was bombarded .

We're not where I'm at, but we're in Eufaula. It just rained a little bit ago and the sun was shining. Ironic isn't it. Other than that it's been drought weather here.
