The mix of rain and sleet is coming in , the air above the clouds is lower than freezing. With the the ground level air is still above freezing. With the windshield factor it should be around 28 degrees here in the morning as far as the windshield factor is concerned.
We had a great warm day today, grey skies and a few bad storms. North Texas it managed to hit in one town and destroy several homes.
So drive safely and be careful out on the roads, you know us Texans are not used to driving on slick streets.

I'll be sure to stay out of your way, Norma! It's 38 here now. There was a forecast of possible freezing rain tonight but I've been out driving around most of the evening and the roads were fine. I'm going to go get my studded tires put on in the morning. I always hate sitting around the tire shop waiting for that to be done.

Its nice and freezing here! I got a cold and now I have pretty much lost my voice.. LOL Its so funny hearing me try to talk! My kids are VERY lucky I cant yell right now! lol

We dont have tires for streets likke that, I think here they put chains on the tires. I dont know. Last time I was in snow was when We teens went to that pond and got stuck.

Tiffany I am sorry you are not feeling well. The house is actually nice and toasty but outside is really cold now. up until about 5 opm it was really warm or comfortable.

It's a muggy 34 right now and the streets will get slick. It rained all day.

We've had over 17" of snow since Dec. 1. Last night we had rain, sleet and snow. Today we got 7" of snow. Come on Spring. Hope everyone is safe in Texas.

Your voice must be raspy from Yodelling. I'm sure you dress like Julie Andrews whenever you go mountain climbing. You can only sing along with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans for so long until you need a break or to have a party with a Polka band. You do dance on tables. Yes, you can keep your shoes on.

It was 70* today in Woodstock, GA. It was nice to be able to go out with out a jacket and in short sleeves.

Good morning, Norma. See you haven't made it in yet. Well, someone has made a pot of fresh coffee. Think I'll have a cup.

It is definitely cold here. Don't know the temp at the moment. We had a lot of rain all day yesterday and last night, but it has ended now and the temperature is dropping, so I don't think we'll get any ice. I never did care for the slip n slide winter games.

As a child I remember those chains on the tires that Wilma talks about, of course, they were maybe a different version, but Daddy didn't put them on the cars very often. I haven't seen any in years.

Good morning everyone. I slept in again . Got where I want to sleep all the time.
It is 34% here right now. The house was hot , but the glass room was very cold. All the critters are mad because we have not made it outside yet. Almost out of cat food. Horse feed too, so looks like a trip to town. Plus prescriptions to fill again.
I have never had chains on an auto. The freeways have so much traffic they stay pretty good shape, they do keep as much sand or whatever they put on the roads to help . But with everyone still driving like there is no tomorrow, wrecks happen.

It was three below when we got up this morning. Winter is here with a vengeance. Last winter was miserable. It looks like this year is going to be at least as bad. I want to move somewhere warm.

It is cold here now too Marge. But dont get as bad as up North. It does look a little like sleet. Hard to tell, I am not about to go out and see.

Be careful and stay warm. It's supposed to snow tomorrow into Friday. I'm working a half day tomorrow and working from home Friday morning and taking Friday afternoon off. I won't have to go out it.
