Question, what movie has made you the saddest!

I was wondering what movie makes people the saddest.  Mine has to be "Terms of Endearment" 

There are 2 parts that I find very sad, when the grandmother is walking her grandchildren out to the car and the oldest boy breaks down and then when Debra Winger has to tell her children that is not getting better

When I need a good cry I just pop in the movie and the tears start.

I think watching Titanic the first time made me the saddest of the movies that I have seen. Seeing Leonardo sink to the bottom of the sea was very sad. The movie "The Guardian" was also very sad.

I have to agree with Schindler's List! That is a very intense movie! I haven't watched it for awhile but I have it in my collection. Very sad.

All of the above. I am a very emotional person. Movies can stir the emotion very deeply, especially the true stories.

Terms of Endearment is a good one, but I recently rented the disney movie, Bridge to Tarabitha...not what I expected for a Disney movie, I was in tears, it was horribley sad. You should rent it sometime!

Schindlers List was very sad and I was not able to watch the entire movie. I remember leaving the theater after half way through it. It was just too sad.

Ladder 49... I cired like I was trying to have a wafterfall competition with Niagra!! it was sooooo sad... I still can't watch it without bawlin like a baby

I'm not a big 'sap' movie fan...I prefer comedy or horror. But the one movie I've seen that gets to me is Brokeback Mountain. I saw this with my best friend and we were both in tears at the end...because the movie reminded us of ourselves so much. We're not gay lovers, but we both could see ourselves in the two main characters. He could see himself passing away before I do...and the fact I've never found a partner; I'd be all alone forever without him being there for me. Not many people feel that way about friends...one of the reasons I'm moving to a new city so I can be close to him and we can share as much time together as we want.

I love all your choices. and each of them has elements that mke me cry, but my big puddle movie is stiill Terms of Endearment.

"The High and the Mighty" I just can't hold back the tears at the end when John Wayne's character walks off all alone after saving the plane load of people who all have someone.

"The Notebook" is also a great tearjerker.

I have to confess, I haven't seen "Terms of Endearment" all the way through - bits and pieces on television, but I haven't managed to catch the whole thing yet.

"Steel Magnolias" and "Cold Sassy Tree" are two very emotional films also.

There are lots but I think it depends on where I am in my life. I don't think "The Notebook" would have hit me so hard 20 years ago. That was the latest one for me.

Blackhawk Down. Seriously. Seeing the hatred on the face of the Somalis, even though it's a movie and not a documentary. Knowing that something similar happened in Iraq. It's not a political thing, it just saddens me that humans can act that way to other humans.

I cant think of the name of the movie..I believe it was a foreign film. It was about a man & his little boy imprisoned for being Jews during WWII. The man convinces the little boy it's all a game and clowns around with him in the prison camp. At the end of the movie the father is put in front of a firing squad but even walking off to be killed he doesnt let on anything is wrong to the child.

Ghost was my favorite, Gena Rowlins movies always make my cry. Of course Notebook was one of her movies. Hope Floats another. But there was one that made me cry like a baby and I cant remember the name of it.
That has to be What Dreams May Come. I must have bawled (and I mean bawled, no little delicate snuffles for me!) for two hours after we left the theater.
