Honest Look at my Marriage of 38 years

We are best friends.
Our parents have little to do with us.
Our children are close to us.
We don't blame each other for our problems. Our problems are our problems jointly.
We don't have jobs for me or jobs for him. We help each other in every way possible.
We love to be together.
We are honest.
If I am annoyed, I tell him and he corrects what he is doing.
If he is annoyed, he laughs and tells me, and I correct what I am doing.
We have very dissimilar interests, but we share one an other's interests.
His interest is me.
My interest is him.

What the world thinks is of little consequence. The only problem I see if it one of us goes and leaves the other. How does one survive that when you're so close?

that is very sweet - it is not easy to find that compatibility with someone, i think u find it when ur not looking 4 it - i think the key is that the relationship can't b a forced 1. my ex pursued me - but i should never have caved & gone on a date - bcuz we really weren't compatible

What a wonderful smile your husband has! Your right that when two people are so close it is more difficult when one leaves the other. It is a sure sign that you have made things work.
