Make your pet a Gather star! Get featured in an upcoming ad!

You’ve seen lots of ads promoting Gather groups. Now your little one – your pet – could be the star of one!

Gather is placing an open-call for members to submit photos of their pets that could be used in the promotion of a new Gather group. The group will be sponsored by one of our partners, a popular pet food brand. The photo could be used in a group promotional ad* and/or within the header of the group.

For a chance to have an image of your pet used as a creative element for our upcoming Gather partner pet program, follow these instructions:

Upload a photo to Gather by following these steps:

  • Go to Explore at the top of the Gather navigation
  • Click Share
  • Click Share Photos
  • Include the following tag with your photo(s): mypetstar
  • In the caption, include the name of your pet

Photos must be posted by Monday, August 24th @ 8:00AM ET.

By posting your photo, you volunteer to have the image of your pet used in a Gather ad and/or group header. (Photos may need to be cropped by Gather.) You will be contacted if the image of your pet is chosen.

What we’re looking for:

  • Photos of dogs, cats, birds, and other animals
  • Original photos only
  • Clear and large photos with good lighting. (We can’t consider dark, blurry and out of focus photos)
  • You can submit photos that only include your pet or photos of you and/or family and friends with your pet

*What’s a group promotional ad? It’s a Gather ad that includes the name of the Gather group as well as the name of the group sponsor.

No. You can post as many photos as you'd like.

Yes you can. If you already have a photo posted that you'd like to use, just edit it by adding in the required tag.

There are no prizes. The point is that Gather is trying something different. We thought it would be fun to have Gather members more involved in our ads.

I put up some of my pets, and one of my sister's dog (Thor) who just passed. He was such a great companion for 12 long and healthy years. He was a huge dog though, so anything over 10 was really awesome.

Which one? There are some popular pet food brands that are nothing more than corn and other horrible ingredients that should never, ever be fed to any pet you love.

I'd like to know what pet food brand before I submit. I've already had one of my pets (who passed away recently) be a spokes-critter for Zupreem Ferret Foods :)

Gus should be the representative for Gather. He has been an inspiration to all of us with his resolute heart and undaunting spirit. He's been hit by cars, dive bombed by birds and bullied by other dogs and yet here is Gus, friend to all and truly an outstanding cat.
