I remember the morning so good...I was on bed rest since I was 30 weeks and because I was in the "Safe Zone" I could resume my normal activities. So at 38 weeks I was just rarring to go and get things for my son.
That morning I was watching Maturnity WaRD...I had been up since 4 and I was so excited about the day ahead. But fate had other plans for me. I heard two weird clicks they came from my stomach. But I didn't think anything of it. I had to get up at 7 to get my daughter out of bed. So when I got off the couch....wooosh!! My water broke. It was like a waterfall.
So I woke my husband and called the cab. We didn't bring anything with us. I just hoped that the cab had leather seats. It did...and we got to the hospital in plenty of time.
I was induced at noon and by 3:15 our son was born. He came out white and not breathing. A team of 15 doctors came running in and tried to get him to breathe. They ended up running him out in the hallway to the place where they take them. My husband went with our son and I stayed and layed there....well obviously.

He was the pudgiest kid in the NICU...He was almost 8 lbs. And what they say isn't true...when the head comes out there is much more pain to come!!!

My son last summer...

The most recent picture of him!!

Happy Happy Birthday you precious boy, may you celebrate many many more with your family & friends.
He is adorable.
(They do grow up way too fast!)
Just think in about 15 or so years, he will be in college. Scary thought, uh?
