One of those Days

I'm having one of those days.  The kids are driving me up a wall, the house is a mess, and I want to snap my fingers and make the world right again.  Well, at least my little piece of the world! 

Why do my kids think my living room is a WWF ring right now?  Since when did eating lemonade mix straight from the container become such a great idea?  Apparently I'm also running a nudist colony, because nobody seems to want to keep their clothes on.  Bedtime is not coming fast enough, that's for sure.

Now I must be off to curb the insanity that is my life, I think this warrants an evening drink tonight!

Wouldn't it be nice to be like Samantha in Bewitched and just wiggle your nose to clean up or stop the kids from going crazy in the living room? Sigh - I feel your pain. Have a glass of wine - or drink of your choice - on me!

I know the feeling...but now my kids are grown and gone, and I miss those chaotic days. Enjoy them as much as you can!

Sandra, yes it would be nice to have the "nose twitch" power! If I'm going to have a drink tonight I will need to go to the store. Since my husband is gone that will either involve bringing all my kids with me (I don't particularly care for bringing kids into a liquor store, so I doubt that will happen) or finding someone to watch them all while I go. We'll see how that goes...

Patrice, I know I will miss them when they're gone but it's hard to remember that at times like these, thanks for reminding me! :)

Cherri, thank you for the uplifting comment...it hasn't been a completely horrible day, just a little more stressful than others. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

I was feeling that same way until I let them play outside! Now I'm ok. They have used all their energy!

Mine can stay outside all day running around like crazy people and still come in the house all hyped up...I had to get some stuff done around the house today so I kept them in and STILL didn't get much done because they were all over the place! I'm glad the "go outside and run off some energy" scheme works with your children, I sure wish it would work with mine. :)

Preach it, sister! You know that car insurance commercial, where the boys are jumping all over the couch and hit mom in the head with a ball? That is SO like my house some (ok, most!) days! Yesterday, my daughter locked one brother in the back yard and another in the garage for about 30 seconds!

hey I know the feeling I am 27 and have 3 kids all under 5 they drive me crazy all for most of the day and my fianc'e is an otr driver (over the road) so hes not here olot add me as a friend and we can talk about kids.
