I thought I saw someone had something a few days back. I thought I had commented on it too but now can't find it. Looking for something home rememdy to help my 10 year old granddaughter Tamzi, she has been getting motion sickness in the car for the last year and it is getting worse. Just wondered if anyone has suggestions or ideas we can give her to help her so she doesn't get so ill.

The doctor has also prescribed a patch to wear behind the ear for cruises, you may check with your family doctor for different things to use to prevent motion sickness.
motion sickness
what we have found that helps ALOT is ---- MINT---- anything with mint in it..
candykanes,, spiermint gum,. Mint Mint Mint... peppermint,.
Also no eating just before the trip., lol..
I've heard some doctors giveing advice that,. The lack of Vitamins and MInerals is upsetting the bodies ability to produce the even amount of chemistry of hormones and elements that keep the mind and body stable. Motionsickness is a inballance of certain ones..
The type of Vitamins and minerals supplimenting is also a issue. One adays centrum, and others taken are not broke down efficiently and are not used within the body...
Get up real close to the wall and try getting upside down. The rush of blood to the brain may just do it :0)) only kidding but try anyway and let me know the results!
Good luck.
Reading is not a good idea for someone who gets ill in a car. Reading makes a lot of people dizzy or gives people a headache.
Ginger might be ok but I tell you that Dramamine definitely works.
If you travel a lot and your sickness is severe; you can get some prescription drug that they give cancer patients for nausea. I forget what is is called now but for the side effects of chemo it helped a little.
When our girls were little we were advised to give them Bonine. It didn't make the girls quite as drugged as Dramamine.
Ginger does work.
