Good Morning from the Deep Freeze

Good morning from the deep freeze of northern Michigan.  Right now we are at fourteen below zero and falling!  I read Sadie's photo essay about Key Largo and I've decided that is where I would like to be today:)!  Thanks Sadie for the lovely pictures!  If you haven't read it, it's entitled "If I were a Genie".  It's a must read this morning!  I'm trying to muster enough strength and resolve to get my daughter to the bus stop this morning.  We'll have to wait a few extra minutes before we go outside though.  Well I hope you're all somewhere warm and sunny today!  If you're not, dream of Key Largo!

Well hey der! Are you up in da UP den? (Sorry... I don't get to use my Yooper talk very often. Truth be told it's virtually identical to my Green Bay talk and my MinneSOHtah talk.) We're at about -5 here in the Twin Cities, but I'm sure things up in the Iron Range are more like your situation.

Well now I feel like we're having a heat wave here att 12F lol. We're supposed to get snow starting tonight and ending tomorrow....they are calling for 9"- 12". Yeah......NOT!!! ;)

Yeah Christine, no snow because it is too cold. I woke up in Lower Michigan this morning and thought somehow the house had moved to the Arctic!!!! It is sooooo cooooold.

it is snowing here and cold too
I don't know how people live in such cold extremes. I suppose you just get "used to it". I get cold when it's below 75 degrees. Right now, it is around 54 degrees....but the high for the day is 77. Gotta love that!

In Indiana we had a heat wave today-it got up near 20. It actually felt kinda warm after the subzero temps we've had.

I'm at work in the middle of a snowstorm, but at least it's 26 degrees and not BELOW zero. lol
