If you pay taxes, that's exactly what you're doing. I'm amazed at how many people seem to think that paying taxes and government spending is new and radical and socialist all of a sudden. Has McCain proposed doing away with taxes all together? I'd rather be paying for healthcare and education than senseless wars and corporate bailouts.
I got that in an email from my brother. The receipt showed champagne, lobster, caviar, and that was an afternoon snack with a price tag of more than $600. Room service for crying out loud. The trouble with liberals is they have the money but they figure out how to get others to pay for their climb to power. You can see that from what Biden and Obama have given to charity, their biggest charity is themselves!
That 47 million includes 12 million illegals and 20 million who choose not to have insurance. My concern is not the uninsured, it is those of us who are insured and must pay for those who do not choose to pay for insurance. Arithmetic shows that you cannot add 20% more people and spend a trillion dollars up front and have it cheaper. Reminds me of Popeye's friend Wimpy. WM - Thanks for the link. I originally checked snopes( not that I believe all of of what they post) but there was no info. Now there is something saying it is not true and I want to look at many sorces not just one. Even if this is not true and that is a possibility. There are many other things that we the tax payers are going to be paying for under Obama's plan. I am not buying in to the " spread the wealth"

Plumbers make decent money. I used to be married to one. As long as people use bathrooms and drink water, there's work for them to do, so $42,000. is not unreasonable.

CJ....you definitely have your head in the sand if you think Universal Health Care is the perfect answer. I have worked here and I have worked in a country with Universal Health Care...it sucked....patients did not receive the care they needed in a timely fashion....if you want to wait for surgery for months and months to remove cancer from your body....then universal health care is for you.....the United States does not have the perfect health care system...it does not help when crackheads, drunks, gang members and welfare recepients use America's emergency rooms as their own personal doctor's offices..also these groups of people I have described refuse to take responsibility for their health care and they refuse to be accountable for their health care(i.e. preventative health care is nonexistent in this group of people)....these sound like your kind of people CJ...since you are so proObama....you know Democrats love to give everything to people who do not deserve it..this is right up your alley.....give a try....go and live in a country that has universal health care and then come back and tell us about it.....experience is everything...

I think its disgusting to 'preach one thing' and to 'practice another' And this shows how much of a hypocrite she and her husband is.
What kills me is that all these politicians get paid their salary for LIFE even when their term is up. Like they didn't have/make ENOUGH before then? no wonder we're all going broke!
All of congress has increased their personal wealth by 60% in the last two years...while letting the rest of the country go to HE double hockey sticks in a hand basket. The dems were supposed to "change" everything when they took over congress, then look what happened. Truth is, they all have lost their way, while we keep putting the same crooks back in office, and electing new ones to lead them. I sincerely wish BHO the best and hope I am wrong. When Obama does something right, I'll back him all the way. If it looks like he is headed down the socialist path, then I will stand up for the American way. Not that anything I say will change anything, but I do have that right...at least for now.
The only solution is to vote all non-incumbent next year, regardless of party. Maybe both parties will get the message that we like America, even if they don't.
