Photo Tour: the USS Alabama

The U.S.S. Alabama, docked in Mobile Bay, Alabama, makes for an impressive view as you drive along the I-10 Bridge crossing the bay.  It's pretty impressive up close, too.

The same deck Tommy Lee Jones walked on!  (Well, I like him better than Steven Seagal, both of whom were in Under Siege, which was filmed on the Alabama.)

Well done indeed! I have toured so many ships from the U.S.S. Turner Joy To The U.S.S. Missouri to the U.S.S. Midway. I am always impressed by the ships, by the memories within the ships and bravery throughout each ship. They all have this in common. They all are living monuments to sacrifice. No matter what we think of the reason for wars, let us never forget the courage and willingness that so many have given to keep us free.
