Life's a Beach.

Yesterday I took Mackenzie to Kensington to go to the beach with some of my friends, Ricky, Erica, Kayla & Tod, and their little boy Brayden who is Mackenzie's boyfriend =). It was not a good day for the beach at all. I even asked Kayla if the weather was going to cooperate, and she was like "Oh yea its going to be nice until 4 or 5". Boy was she wrong *LoL* Mackenzie & I arrive at about 1 o'clock, and it is cloudy and windy. I'm glad my mothers instincs kicked in before I left, and put a hoodie and pants in her diaper bag (( or as I like to call it, her duffle bag )). As soon as we got out of the van I put her hoodie on. Great first day at the beach *LoL*.

It wasn't that cold, it was just windy. We still had a great time though! We played on the swings, and walked around. Tod made hamburgers and hotdogs, and Kenzie and I shared a burger. It was nice to get out of the house, and she liked looking at the water. She always had to know where Brayden was too *LoL*.

It's been so cool ~ more like spring/fall than summer lately. We finally got some rain this morning (hallelujah). Sorry about the first trip to the beach, but there will be others. At least you were prepared (which good mommies always are)! =)

I was so excited to take my almost-two-year-old swimming this year, and it's been cool and/or raining all summer long here! I'm glad you guys had a good time despite the uncooperative weather.
