A day at the lake... A photo essay

Last week we went out on the boat with some friends, their boat!  We had a wonderful time and so did the kids.  We went out into the center of the lake and swam and played on the tube for almost 2 hours.  We couldn't hardly get the kids out of the water.

I have been going to Lake Pend o'Reille, pronounced (ponderay) for over 30 years and it is positively one of the most picturesque lakes in North America. Your pics look like they taken mostly around the southern end of the Lake around Farragut State Park. It was once a Naval training base during WWII. The lake itself is a left over from the last Ice age and is the deepest lake in North America with a depth in exess of 2300 feet. A small Naval base still exists at Bayview. It is now an acoustics reseach installation that has 2 or 3 one quarter scale, fully operational submarines.
