It never ceases to amaze me how much Elliott learns from one day to the next. He is constantly expanding his vocabulary, and he enjoys sharing his new words and phrases with everyone.
His newest phrase must be something he has heard from me before! Lately, every time he spills something, accidently or intentionally, he makes it a point to tell me.
The very first time, he accidently spilled his snack on the floor. I wasn't sure what he was trying to tell me, at first. Then I looked at his trail mix in the floor, and it hit me. He was saying "Made a mess!" It's nice to know he's learning, but I guess I have told him one too many times that he has made a mess, huh?
Tonight was intentional. We were at my mother-in-law's house for dinner, and he was using a sippy cup from her house. Her cups are in excellent condition, they are just an older style, and are not leak proof. As soon as he realized this, he turned it upside down and starting shaking it, pouring milk all over her kitchen floor. I was so embarrassed as he started stomping in the milk and chanting "Made a Mess! Mom! Mooom! Made a Mess!"
