I HAD MY BABY GIRL!

Boy was it a journey for me! As you know I was planning on being induced Friday June 27th. The hospital told me to call the night before to make sure tehy had an open bed in case they had alot of women go into actual labor.. Anyways so I get up at 3 am and call. NO BEDS.. so I did not go in! I was to call back at 8 am.. still no beds it will be in the afternoon.. so my husband and I pack up and head to the city to get ready and hang out since I was upset and anxious! Hang out at the mall all day thinking I could walk myself into labor.. Well it never happened and they would not return my calls so my husband and I went to the hospital to find out if I was going to get in or not.. Its about 5:30 PM now.. and NO they cant get me in.. My doctor walked past as we were still sitting there wondering what to do next.. I asked him if I could go to the other hospital and induce.. he said He'd call and see.. so he did and gave me their number to call back and find out if they could get me in.. Well I was told to wait until 7 pm for the charge nurse. So I did.. then I was told to wait until 9pm and see if they could get me in.. OMG I WAS SOO STRESSED! The nurse did tell me I could go ahead and eat a light meal since I had been waiting to eat all day so I felt a bit better. I called the nurse back at 9pm and she said I could come in at midnight and she would induce me!  OMG FINALLY I knew I was going to get to ahve my baby!

Problem was if we did not get to have her this weekend that it was to late to reschedule another induction so I would have to just waited until I went into labor on my own.. It would have hurt us financially for me to have her during the week because my husband would have missed work.. and I could have ended up in hospital on 4th of July.. NO FUN..

SO I got their at midnight and they said it would be a while to get things going but I was completely fine with that! Well They had me set up and my induction started within an hour so they were by far not slow.. I was finalyl having contractions on my own as soon as  got their 4 minutes apart. I was dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced so I would have had her pretty soon if I did not get to go in and deliver!  SO  I got my epidural about 3 am. I had only dilated to a 4 all night so at 8 am the new nurse broke my water.. I began feeling pressure quickly and was an 8. 5 minutes after she checked me I thought my baby  was coming out.. so she checked me again and I was a 10. So they got me ready so when the dr. came in he could catch her.. :)

I had her at 9:27 AM. She was 8lbs 2 oz and 20 1/2" long. Everything went GREAT!

I decided to come home today.. and they had me checked out of the hospital at 11 am! My baby girl is doing great! She is nursing very well! I feel fine other than my cramps mainly when I nurse. They gave me meds for that of course!

Kairi is a very good baby! She only fusses when shes hungry. She has tiny feet and I think its really cute! When she was first born she just sat there calm while they cleaned her up and everything!
