The system

I am already raising two of our grandchildren and now there are two more that have been taken (all from the same parent). These two are going to be 1 and 2 in July. I have the 4 and 5 yr old. The two younger ones are in foster care due to the abuse, neglect and mom's drugs. Somehow the system seems to think this girl is going to change. I just don't get it. We have been going thru this for the last 5 years and nothing has changed. Is it just me or should there be a time when she should not have the right to keep doing this? How many childen will she get to hurt before the courts say enough is enough?

It is so sad for these children. I know that the court likes to give a mother every chance to get her children back, but it seems to me that she has been given plenty of time. They need to give her a deadline to get her act together. Prolonging the situation is so hard on the children. Bless you for helping out with your grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through all of this. Will you be trying to get the little ones as well?

No tryng to be mean because it is your relation. But I personally believe that people who do things like this should be forced to have an operation so they can't produce anymore kids ever.
