I believe Kyleigh's recent mysterious fever was caused by a cold or flu. It was revealed early this morning when she kept waking up because her nose was stuffed and she could not breathe with the pacifier in her mouth. I cleaned her nose during a hot bath in the morning, and she has been having a running nose ever since. She also sneezed many times throughout the day, along with some other symptoms. I finally got her to go to sleep, but she is not sleeping very deeply because of the stuffy nose. So, I'll probably be up all night again.
I was puzzled at first because there was no sick kid at the day care. I was down with a fever a few days ago but I believe it was stress related. Then it occurred to me that my husband has been sneezing for quite a while. After I asked him, he said he had many sick people in his office. So I think he is the biggest suspect. Of course, this all happened after the circus visit. So it also could be that.
Regardless what or who the cause was, Kyleigh is sick. I don't know how long it is going to take for her to recover this time. I am fairly frustrated because she is suffering. I hear that you all say this is good for developing her immune system and this is normal for a new kid at the day care, but sometimes I still wish I could just put her in a sterilized bubble all her life.

and we are having snow when it should be
spring time, so I'm not surprised on it affecting the health. But the doctors say we are not to take roo many antibiotics, and
allow the body to heal it self with natural
medicine, such as fruits and veg that hold vitamin C and iron.
Hope she gets better soon.
If the fever has gone down, I say that it would be good for her to get soup, crackers and citrus fruit. I'm assuming that she isn't inflicted with diarrhea and vomiting, which would really make it miserable.
Get well soon, Kyleigh!
I've had a cold going on two weeks now, and my right ear has lost some hearing. I expect I'll slowly get it back--as well as my energy. Now I have a clue how chronically-ill people feel (only a clue). Time for my nap.......
