The Cyberschool experiment

My daughters computer came today for Cyberschool. School doesn't start until Sept 5th, but they want to make sure you can set up the computer and it works and all before school starts. She was smart to set it up today, then I can't nag her to do it and I can't say she waited til the last minute. She is getting wiser in her advanced age of 16. Does anyone have any experience with Cyberschool either positive or negative?

I took an online class once and hated it, but it was a college class. For me, I prefer a classroom. Online is too much of a self study class. I prefer to listen to a lecture to reading. I have taken some classes online for recertification points that were fine. They didn't require too much time.

I took an online class last semester and I actually prefer being in the classroom. I learn better when I can interact with the teacher and other students.

I am very interested in hearing about your experiences with it.

My son taught himself to read using only online reading programs and both my kids love to use the computer so it might be a good option for us a few years down the road.

My oldest son just finished his freshman year and starts his sophmore year tomorrow through a cyber school. He loves it and has absolutely thrived at this school.
