That's just evil--similar to Michael Vicks and his indictment.

Some people are just plain sadistic. Anyone who can do that to a dog needs to be locked away forever.

I had not heard anyting about this until I read your article and I live in Arkansas. Someone has to be really sick to do something like that!

That's disgusting, I can't even imagine what kind of monsters do things like this. Everytime I heara story of cruelty toward animals I cry. Micheal Vick should be thrown in the dog ring by the way, let the dogs get a little revenge! I know two wrongs don't make a right, but... I also read an article this morning about two teenage girl who poured gasoline on a cat, and stood there and watched him burn, and laughed as he was shreiking. A little 11 year old boy saw the smoke, and put the cat out. The cat's ears and tail are completely gone, and his back was burned so badly that it was just raw tissue. He is still alive, and a vet has donated services, but it will still cost 30,000 to fix this cat, that's how badly he was messed up. What is wrong with these people?

And they wonder WHY I like animals more than I like many people???? And they say that those folks who belong and adhere to the philosophies and actions of PETA are "weird"?

We are NOT going to get rid of these forms of physical cruelty to animals unless we do it with an IRON FIST. There is no way that people who perform such horrible acts of violence are going to stop any other way. Education won't work, because they are too ignorant to learn. A soft tap on the hand to punish them won't make a dent in their actions, either. They NEED a forceful, HARSH approach because that is the ONLY language they UNDERSTAND! We need better laws to protect the innocent AND a STRONG ENFORCEMENT of those laws!!!

Our legal system turns a blind eye to the needs of our most vulnerable in society -- children and pets. Legislation and enforcement just don't go far enough to reach at these monsters and to make other aberrations like them think twice before performing such heinous acts of sadism!
