The weather is nice and warm with a slow gentle breeze in the air! The sun is bright and then suddenly covered by a dark gray cloud! A small shower of rain then a thunderstorm, then the sky is blue with white puffy clouds but all the while, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, the grass is green and the trees are swaying!! It means one thing...........spring and summer (well, two) are in our midst!! It's the time of year to get outside and admire nature! It's time to kick back and take life easy!!!! So come over to my "neck of the woods" and "sit a spell".....................
Mr. Froggie welcomes you to my world...

take off your shoes....

and grab a rocking chair.....

or sit on the steps and admire the flowers.....

or come sit in the corner by the woods....

or sit out back in the shade.....

or you can "swang" in the swing or lie in the hammock....

tired of "swangin'", --- come to the deck and admire the view....

or lounge by the pool.....

or you can sit in a quiet spot (Oh NO!!!, ---- don't even think about wanting my yellow chair)....

or you can rock away again......rock until your heart is content!!

So come on over to my "neck of the woods" and "sit a spell", -- I'll be saving this rocker just for you!!!

Ms. Froggie says,-- "Ya'll come back now, you hear!!!!"

(Some photos were taken yesterday as the sun was shining and some taken this morning and it's very cloudy! We are to get rain today and tomorrow but that's okay, we really need the rain in the south............I just may 'sit a spell' and enjoy the rain!!)

Fun photo essay, Phyllis. You have so many wonderful places to sit, relax and watch nature at her best. Oh, and I love the frogs!
Thanks Kat....I actually thought about you when I was taking pictures of the frogs!!
Do I hear the clinking of ice cubes in my summer drinK? Absolutely lovely place, Phyllis. I'm ready to drop by any time.
Not sure which spot would be my fave, guess I'll have to try them all.
Thanks Rose....I happen to be drinking lemonade (with ice) while sitting on the deck and gathering!!!!!!!!! LOL
How fun! They all look so inviting. :)
Thanks Lune....you have an open invitation to come over anytime!!!
Great photo essay! You certainly have a lot of places to sit outdoors!
can I come live by you!
loved your pictures, thanks for sharing..
I had to laugh when I saw your flower planted in a coffee pot. I've got all sorts of "planters" around here - an old metal bedpan is one! If it'll hold dirt, why not use it, right?
Vicky, you are so right.....anything that holds dirt makes a great 'planter'!! The coffee pot is one of my faves along with an old cricket bucket!!
Phyllis ,a great photo essay ! i love your home and yard ,with all it's nooks and crannies ,swangs and flowers .
You have a very beautiful place and you are creative at making your space relaxing and comfortable. Wish I had more this know how. I have a friend like you who can put together front yards, back yards to look just like a professional park setting, like yours. I will have to see if I can get some video of her place. Cozy.
Great essay Phylis, Thanks for posting it to Kodak Moment
OH how beautiful and inviting! Your frogs are so cute and all those lovely places to sit and enjoy the great outdoors. Beautiful photos and yard Phyllis.
This is great, Phyllis!! I would gladly kick back and "sit a spell" in any one of those places. I want a hammock so bad. I keep hinting for someone to get me one. I imagine I'll just use a Gather giftcard at some point in the future and get myself one. I'm also working on my bbq spot again and have the perfect spot picked out for a swing. Your yard is pretty much how I want mine to end up - many different places to just kick back and relax. There are so many spots I want to work on that the hard part is deciding which one to work on now. I just want to do it all at once but can't. LOL Great photo essay!
It's overcast and cloudy here today too. Rained a tad earlier but not for long and not much. It quit now. We just got back from the doctor. They think Parker has the chicken pox. Ugh!
I'll be right over. The rocker looks so relaxing and I love your froggies
Phyllis it looks to me like you live in paradise.
Thanks for the view into your neck of the woods...very pretty place you have, Phyllis :~)
If you keep inviting me I'll come.
Can you see the two of us sitting and rocking? Too much fun. Your husband would get earplugs, fast.
I love your porch ! and the pool too, oh andd your froggies
Who can resist such a welcoming invitation. All of your sitting spots are wonderful, but I think I would like the rocker the best.
What a cute photo essay Phyllis...you have such a lovely yard. I wouldn't mind sitting for a spell...just don't have time right now. I love the rocking chairs.
That was a truly lovely photo essay. You live in a great place.
Nice photo essay. I don't see the latest garden items in any of the shots *gasp*
M, --- that photo essay is coming!!! I was wanting to get pictures when I finished my new flower bed....since I have moved the frog and mushrooms three times since I've gotten them!!! LOL Actually, the flag is to the left of the red swing (7th picture) you just can not see it but know those pictures of coming!!!!!
This photo essay evokes such a warm feeling!
Thanks all so very much for your lovely comments....I really enjoy 'living' outside!!
If I were closer, I'd be right over to take you up on your invitation. What a lovely place!
I'm on my way over!! lol What a great essay! I'm feeling all warm & fuzzy right now! Thank you!!
Very tempting. Just remember I don't live to far from you. I guess I will just have to show up and find a place to sit and relax.
Lovely photo essay!
what a lovely yard you have!! great photos
You have the perfect yard- sun, shade, trees, open space, water and plenty of seating. I love it. It's absolutely beautiful.
Well, forget, all the sittin for a spell.......................................can I just move in? ha ha ha ha ha
I think I'll just pack those bags back up and head your way. I love the rockers...I wish we had a southern porch, but we can't figure out a way to put one on this house without major expense. Your home is lovely, like a vacation paradise...you don't need to leave home!
What a fantastic photo essay!! I'll park my butt on the steps for awhile, then stroll out back to admire all those birdhouses! Your place is gorgeous, Phyllis!!
Phyllis!!
I comment stalked Sassy Cat over and I just saw we're frog twins! I have that exact same froggie trellis :D Okay now I have to go back and read the rest LOL I got too excited.
Well almost the same. . . mine is black where yours is white. Still cause for celebration.I'll have to take a photo of mine for my photo essay of my container garden tomorrow :)
I want a pool. No room here.
You have a lovely home Phyllis. A Paradise for friends to visit and enjoy the lazy days of summer, with you and all the comforts you have put out for our enjoyment.
Sistah Philly - this was so sweet and so welcoming and I am loving every single picture here - lots of rockers and love the hammock naturally - oh and that pool - girl, you have such a beautiful home - absolutely am jealous !!! I know you are having a great summer and haven't the time to come inside and check the computer - well, I sure don't blame you!!! Sending many summer hugs - hello to that froggie! Salud
I love all the green ferns and I have a milk crate just like that one!!! hugs, SAlud
