Do you make homemade Crafts for Christmas?

I usually don't make crafts but this year, I'm going to do something I saw in a magazine last year.  I had Stocking hung on my mantel last year with my childrens names on it and this year, instead of their names, I'll take a picture of them from my digital camera and glue their picture on the stocking and have them decorate the corners of the picture.  It's more personal with their picture than just their name, it's going to be fun.

Do you make any crafts for Christmas, share them with us, this is my favorite holiday.

Sounds fun. I don't usally make gifts either. I was thinking of doing something differant this year. We have photo albums galore laying around. I thought I'd go through all the old photos and make up a photo album for each child to cherish for their own. Something all about them to save and pass down to their kids on day.

I used to do plastic canvas pieces every year for my family members, but I haven't done that in probably 4 years now!

I used to do that all of the time but not too much lately. When the kids were younger we always made cinnamon ornaments for everyone. Bath supplies are easy for kids to do also. I like food crafts too. I have made some pretty good amaretto before.

I always gave homemade gifts at Christmas but I it dawned on me a few years ago that I never see anything I make displayed in any house, so I don't do it any more. The things I made would take all year to make and I suppose they just get thrown away because I never see them again after I give them as gifts.

I always have something homemade in the christmas gifts that I give. I do a bunch of different types of craft!

I am not a craft making person. My son used to make personal gifts by making handmade fancy soaps, and putting together baskets of things he chose thinking of the person to receive it. He was very creative and I always cherished his gifts. He even made me fancy decorated cakes for my birthday sometimes, ones that he created the decorations himself. Now my son lives far away and its not as easy to exchange gifts.

Growing up we always made our own Christmas decorations and ornaments, and the past few years my oldest son has always made a few things. This year we will go big time on the crafts as my oldest is five years old and love to do crafts.

I want to!! I'm not a SAHM - I work full time and my husband stays home. So, I'm a little limited in what I can actually acomplish with crafting for the holidays. I truly belive that someday I will be able to get everything done that I want to though....really. If I make something at christmastime it is usually for only one person. I've made scrapbook albums for my mom and my sister each and saw both of them cry when they opened it. I guess that is good but then I get sad too!!
