Gather withdrawal

Recently the power supply in my computer died.  One morning I pressed the power button on my trusty computer expecting to hear the soft whirring sound.  Anticipating getting on the Gather site, holding my breath as i wonder, how many points do I have now? I pressed the button 0ne, two, three times...nothing...uh oh.  Checking cords and switches, all plugged in.  Reluctantly I resign myself to the fact that there will be no Gather today. 

Several times throughout the day I go to look something up...check Email...oh yeah, no puter, how sad.  Good news in less than a week a new power supply installed I'm back to Gather, happily reading, posting, commenting and enjoying everyone's contributions.

Sometimes it scares me how dependent I am on the computer and especially on-line access. The Internet goes down and I'm cut off from so much.
