One of my Pet Peeves!

I didn't know until earlier today that this really bothers me.  A friend and I had lunch today and we were to meet at 12 Noon and she was not on time.  I'm always on time and for some reason I expect you to be on time as well, that is one of my pet peeves.

I know things happen and if you call me to say you're running late, that's ok but I know that she lived like 5 minutes from the restaurant and could have been on time, that really bothers me.

Does this bother anyone else?

Yes - punctuality is extremely important to me. It tells me something about the amount of respect I'm getting from the person. Perhaps, you should consider another lunch date - next time. I'm sorry that this happened to you.

I agree Carolyn unless something dire happens I beleive on being on time and expect the same of others.

I also hate being late and I hate waiting but worse than that, my kids don't understand the importance and the lack of respect involved when never being on time.

Yes! A phone call is always nice. Some people don't know how to pick up a phone though.
