Do you paint your walls with color?

if you live in OK, then ALL the walls are some sort of off white if you live in an apartment. In CA, there is color. Ah, love L.A.

My walls are all Antique white,except my bathroom....It's wall papered in burgandy,cream and teal colors w/ teal carpeting

We just moved in a couple months ago so the walls in the main living areas and our bedroom and the bathrooms are still white. The kids rooms are colored though -- my youngest's fave color is yellow, my girl has a rosy lavendar shade, and the boys chose like a sea green/blue-ish mix that worked out really well. Still not sure how we're going to decorate everything just yet as we are still unpacking!

Guess I'm in the same boat you're in Julie. I have no idea how to pick out the right color.

I have about 20 different colors on all my walls: various yellow shades, blues, creams, beiges, etc. Of course, they have fancy names for them all...

I just started using color. I've always had white or off white. It scared me at first, but so far I love my dining room. We are painting the living room burgandy this week.........AAAAAAAahhhhhhhh. I'm scared. LOL

I went from color to a country white all through my house. It is much easier to change the color in your rooms with accessaries

We just moved in and we are renting from a friend until we can afford to buy it from him. The walls were all beige when he bought it, and we haven't changed much.

I would if the house were mine, and I would have my bedroom purple.

I have an older house and it needs lots of updating. Most of the walls have paneling. Ewww. The 2 rooms I've managed to redo have beige and the bathroom is white. I want to sell this place in the next couple of years and I don't want to go wild. I'm staying neutral. Let the new owners go wild! lol

Okay, we'll start with my front room. On two walls, it has sage at the bottom and pale yellow around all the windows. On the other two walls it is pale yellow faux-textured (sponged) with sage. The dining room is red ochre on the wainscoting and pale yellow above. The living room is a very pale peach (called delta moon) with red ochre in the built-out windows, and the wall facing the windows is the delta moon sponged over with red ochre. The hallway is kind of an impressionistic mural of sage, violet and yellow. My bedroom is two shades of lavender, the paler in the background and the deeper ragged over it...

Does that count as "color"?

Oh - I really hate laundry - so my laundry room is a caribbean blue with a beach motif border...

I paint my walls all the time - I'm constantly changing the color, and therefore the atmosphere/feel of the room. I started experimenting with color by just picking a color for an accent wall, and before you know it, it started a frenzy of painting that'll probably never stop. Now I change whole rooms, or just a wall, or try out a new technique, or stencil it or do a faux finish (I used seven colors for two opposing walls with solid walls on the other two opposite walls - very cool looking!) Don't be afraid - you can always buy another gallon of white if you hate it. The other option is to go to an appliance store and pick up some large pieces of cardboard, and then get a sample size of the color you are considering and paint a couple of large pieces of cardboard. Put them in the room to see how your furniture or accessories look with the new color. All this little experiment will cost you is the price of a sample color - a couple bucks at most.

My kitchen is a french vanilla color and my living room color I believe was called sugar maple. (A very light brown )

I would love to have colors on my walls but eh i'll be alright with what i have lol

I'm starting to love color. I used to be really boring with white or beige walls everywhere. Now my livingroom is maroon, we just painted my son's room Army green, and we have a rich chocolate accent wall in our bedroom.

I love color on my walls. We have blue in our bedroom with a colored textrued ceiling (the base is white and the texture itself is colored). My living room is beige witha darker brown accent wall. Master bathroom mauve, and kid's bathroom a light yellow with gold damask stripe, marroon accent coler. My son chose electric blue with orange trim. Office is a dark salmon with yellow accent. My kitchen I re-did in a peach base tone and stipped the trim down to natural wood which is stained bambay mahognay.

I tend to be hesitant about going too bold, but fortunately my painter shoves me out of my comfort zone. I just repainted several of the rooms in my house this past spring. My living room is now an eye-popping "hydrangea" blue. My kitchen is a bright coral, my den is bold green (not quite lime green) and my bathroom is another shade of blue. I absolutely love it.

My walls are all white. I want to paint the dining room gold.

I haven't but the person who last owned this house 30 yrs ago did and the depression green hasn't motivated to pick up a paint brush yet.
