What is your favorite thing about winter time?

I was thinking of the seasons changing today. That got me to thinking of winter and wondering what you like most or dislike about it. Please share

The quiet outside, hot cider or cocoa with marshmellows, crocheting, making snowmen with the kids, snowball fights with the kids

Getting cozy on the couch with a hot chocolate or a steaming mug of coffee and reading a good book in front of the fireplace. Oh, and getting to wear soft, warm sweaters on a cold winter's day.

A midnight walk on Christmas Eve with the full moon reflecting off the new fallen snow. Your breath turning to ice as soon as it leaves you mouth. My dog walking just a little ahead chasing a snowbound hare now and then. And then, just before freezing to death, you return back home for some hot cocoa with marshmallow heaped in which you enjoy while unthawing by the fire. then it was off to bed. I was fortunate growing up in rural Maine. I didn't need to go to sleep to be nestled in dreams of sugar plums - my greatest dreams happened before I ever closed my eyes. Man, I think I need to do an article so all of you can experience an awe-inspiring Christmas Eve in the woods of western Maine.

A wet Snow clinging to the tree branches,it's so beautiful.

What I hate,is having to drive in that snow,it's so slippery,and refreezes to ice.

I love the crisp cool air....(It doesn't usually get really cold here in Charlotte). I love wearing jeans and sweaters. I love the fact that spiders and their friends go into hiding. I love the fact that there is always that possibility of a lovely snowfall.

I would say the snow..But since I live inn Florida now. I will have to say...bugs are gone. That is what I like best.

I love winter! All of it! The snow and ice. The pleated plaid wool skirts. The wool sweaters, especially shetland and fisherman's sweaters. Fur coats. Hearty stews and soups.

I **hate** summer.
the soft sounds of fallen snow
and Icicles hanging about my windows
