Glenn Beck is all over the place but does he really stand for the people or does he have another agenda nobody knows about?

If he's "for the people" (and not for the NWO), then, he's shaking things up.

Glenn Beck's commentary is very specific. I don't see how anyone can be confused about what he's saying. Unless, of course, you are not FOR our constitution or are against LOGIC. Perhaps, there are too many folks out there in la la land, who just don't have a clue as to what's being said and done, whether it be on Beck or coming from the gov'ment.

To label Glenn as you have, shows your own ignorance of what our country was founded on and where it should STILL be going. Are you a socialist James? Do you hate our constitution or consider it a "living document" that is subject to change as each stinking politician THINKS it should be?

Dale for one thing you to my knowledge have never been on my friends list and just because I may disagree with someone does not mean I remove them from my list. As for the constitution Beck has misquoted it more than once. He seems to also advocate a return to slavery. Since he wants immigrants to pay a head tax which was written in it which actually was a ten dollar tax on slaves being brought into this country. But rather than think for yourself you will take someone who calls himself a patriot on TV at his word without question.

Sure Dale I read and have read probably more books than you have in your lifetime but at no time have I called you ignorant nor would I consider saying such to you. I went to college sure but I know plenty of people who attended college who came out not all that much more intelligent than when they went in to learn.

As for Fox if you call what they put out as news news then you have been taken in big time. Lee interjects: But Anita Dunn quoted Mao after defining his place in her thoughts as one of her two "favorite political philosophers." as well as one of the two people she 'turns to most to basically deliver a simple point.'

"So Dunn’s lame attempt to source the quote back to Atwater and have that somehow serve as an explanation for what she said is patently ridiculous."

It's one thing to read Mao, or quote him regarding military strategy (apparently he was pretty good at war), it's quite another to express admiration for him, and quote him as one of one's favorites to a high school graduating class. I think she could have dug up a quote from someone else which would have been just as appropriate maybe more appropriate for the purpose of her example, had she been of a mind (or ideology?) to have done.

Use of the quote in and of itself was not so bad; it was the event at which she used it coupled with her expressed admiration, and the weight of all the other questionable hires in this White House which made the difference between just an offhand quote as opposed to what it turned out to be --> another straw on the camel's back, another watermelon in what seems to be shaping up as a whole patch (heard this today and while I don't go in much for this kind of thing ... and may not find much reason to use it much, it is descriptive of what I've come to believe about what is going on ----- watermelon = green outside; red inside).

Thanks Lee for sharing this. It seem James need to read and listen, instead of thinking.

In a speach she gave to graduating High School Students, she sated that she Admires Moa as one of her favorite Political Philosophers, and reads refers to him in many issues.
This is different from someone that reads and uses selective views of a person, she admires him as a Political Philosopher that she looks up to, and refers to. That is Dunns' own words, that she is an avid follower of Mao.
When we start seeing people that look up to Leaders like Mao, Che, Castrol, Lennen, and Stalin, in Obama's Cabinet, then that spells a problem, especially in the percentage of his cabinet that respects Communist and Violent leaders like they do.

Exactly! I am student of Founding Fathers who gave us a Constitution, and freed us from a king of a world empire. And people call me delusional. LOL!

It's the same situation as it was with Kevin Jennings and Brewster. What he chose to do in that situation was wrong no matter what age the child was (tough if the state law says he was an adult ... a real adult would have recognized the problem and found a better solution). But those who support Jennings try to refute the age thing AS IF that's the only issue there.

In regard to the quotes, the supporters of this woman choose to refute our horror at what she said by pointing to others who have also quoted Mao AS IF that was the only problem.

The quote itself if presented differently and not couched in terms of admiration in the same breath as admiration for Mother Teresa would not have been so bad ... if not done at a high school graduation.

They choose to do that when it's not actually that she quoted him that is the problem ... it's the context of her quote which is the problem; as you rightly state Dan and Terry.

That's great. Not that she'll ever call. But it's great anyway.

Exactly Terry, their silence is politics which is a game that most people play at the height of their career as politicians. And of course, your take on Obama's election promise, "just another broken promise from another partisan politician", I feel it is the other way about because now we have everyone including the opposition and the world talking about him and his nobel peace. Somewhere the promise stands fulfilled, so I feel.

I think the "RED PHONE" is for drama, but, for whatever purpose, it is there to use. The fact that it's not being used says volumes!!!

Terry, she won't call because what he is saying is true and he can out argue her any day. How to argue with idiots...Mao was a mass murderer. He was also said to be a raper of children. How anyone in their right mind could use him as someone to "turn to"... proves she is not in her right mind...and to kids yet she says this...holding Mao up as a hero for taking over the government...and killing more people than the hated Hitler.

That sums it up with me. Come to think of it, I only agree with Mao on two small things:

1. "Political power comes from a barrel of a gun." It means you have to have some force behind your cause, in the real world, you have to be able to cash the checks you write.

2. "Politics is war without bloodshed while politics is war with bloodshed." Unfortunatley that is true.

Beyond that, you can trash Mao all day, on those two things, either he is realistic enough to see that or we can apply the broken clock theory of it being right twice a day.

I'm still alive but I plan to keep my hiatus going but I might drop in from time to time. Freelance liberal baiting is fun but it takes so much time I can use for other things. B-P

One other thing, I always used the "Tsar" spelling. When I was a senior in high school, I took a class on the differences between the USA and USSR, which I apply to a lot of my postings and thoughts, my teacher said to all of us, "if I see you use the 'Czar' spelling, you automatically flunk the class." He insisted the "Tsar" spelling was the original way and it should stay that way.

The red phone is an interesting concept. I don't see Glen or anyone waiting for it to ring again any time soon.
