On April 15th Tea Party U.S.A will be hosting events all over the country. Glenn Beck will be attending the one held at the Alamo. Recently I wrote some articles about not submitting to fear. There is nothing wrong with being afraid. It is a trait of humanity. Jesus himself was afraid right before he arrested and crucified. However he did not let fear defeat him. This should be our example. The men, who laid down their lives at the Alamo, did not submit to fear.
I have visited the Alamo on two different occasions. It amazes me that these men were able to hold off the forces of Santa Anna for so long. They were men of courage who were willing to die so that future generations could be free. "Remember the Alamo" became the victory cry for the Texas army. We know very well today that Texas is not part of Mexico, due to the men who fought boldly at the Alamo.
Also the men at the Alamo were much like our Founding Fathers. They had no confidence in a human king and realized that freedom was worth fighting for. Today there are still people who feel the same way. On the other hand they are those who have put their faith in a political leader.
The people who are attending these Tea Parties will feel the wrath of those who follow human leaders. So far I have seen articles written calling these people all kinds of names. If the men of the Alamo were willing to die, surely we can stand up to the harassment and the hate articles.
I am looking forward to watching Glenn Beck's show on this day. For me a Tea Party at the Alamo is very fitting. An update on the show will be posted.

The pigs at the trough have changed but the demand for our wages has not. These tea parties are tolerated as steam blowing affairs and will be ignored I'm afraid as anything really scary for our masters in the government to fear.
But then, I missed the rerun of the show too. :(
I wonder if you got to go after all?
The one I wnt to ... people never stopped arriving. From the time I got there about 3:45pm or so on even to 6:30 and longer I'm sure. It was supposed to be over at 7, but when I left at around 6:30 or so people were still going strong.
It was very inspiring.
Wish I could go to a Tea Party but I have to work but I'll be there in spirit and maybe I can get off for the next ones. I'll be listening and watching Beck that day though. All I can say is "Wolverines!"

Absolutely.
The whole day was and is inspiring. I was out myself with signs in my area. I made some good contacts, it was well worth the time of making ourselves seen.
