Well everyone knows by now that Barack Obama has chosen Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware to be his running mate. The only thing Biden brings to the ticket is experience. Really Barack should have found a Governor from the a southern or western state to break any possible McCain strongholds he may have in these areas. Now is a good time for McCain to play on this.
The best running mate for John McCain is Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota. Pawlenty has administrative experience, and youth which is needed for the Republican Ticket. Also have a V.P. candidate from Minnesota could break a Democratic strong hold. Many say that McCain should pick a Democrat to be his running mate. I believe all this would do is hurt McCain with the Conservative base which is important to the Republican Party.
Who do you think McCain should choose and why?

He might as well choose Jeb Bush because that is who he will be listening to as a honorary member of the Bush Family.
There's always Dick Cheney?
But seriously, I do not think there is anyone he can choose from the pool of Republican nominee candidates. He might get a bump with Ron Paul.
He might choose an unknown but I do not think he can afford to, but if he goes too conservative to try to balance, he will lose the swing vote, so an unknown governor might be in order.
That will also make who's ever it is inevitable loss in a
debate with Joe Biden understandable and maybe
sympathetic.
Don't know, yep he probably already has made a choice.
I think VP choice is important to both candidates. Obama has enemies and McCain is older, so there is a greater than usual chance of the VP taking office before the term's end.
One of the evils of political parties is the pursuit of name recognition and popularity. Substance is lost when image and spin take center stage. This is a serious time for our country economically and we need a serious, qualified leader.
the next Vice President of the United States ...will be....
one of these two:
Mitt Romney
or
Tim Pawlenty
1) I think that Romney can deliver Michigan which is in play this year.
2) Romney has worked on a health care plan for Massachusetts, that by all accounts, is beginning to work even though it took a couple of years to get all the bugs out.
3) Romney has business expereince.
4) Romney has had executive experience in business and as a state governor.
5) Romney is pro-life which presents a clear difference between Obama/Biden.
6) I think that Romney can bring in some of the western states even though they don't seem to be in play, Obama has been spreading losts of money around especially in Montana.
I really like Pawlenty! But I think that Romney has better national recognition as a result of running in the primaries. He brings a network of supporters and contacts with state Republican leaders.
On the down side, Romney may have some problems with the Evangelics and pro-life Catholics owing to his Mormon faith. But if Obama can be a Muslim, who knows?
Just kidding w/ the Muslim thing! I just wanted to ge the Obamaniacs riled.
Looks like Pawlenty to me.
Or maybe Cheney would like a third stint since he hasn't quite caused Armageddon. Yet.
McCain and Lieberman on the same ticket? The photo shoots of those two lizards would be just plain creepy.
How about Mitt Romney to help McCain take Michigan?
he made a good choice with her and its scaring the Dems badly...I think Biden is totally overshadowed
