Nice list. I've read some, others are on my list too.

I have a list, also. I'll post it for comments sometime. My list contains books that have been recommended to me or are by authors who I like. It doesn't contain any of the books you list here, but I think there are a couple from your entire list that you posted originally.

I put no time limit on it because 1) I sometimes read books not in my list for one reason or another, and 2) I like to own good books, but I wait to find them cheap.

Tell me about your favorite author, Kay Hooper. You are getting much read! Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my "drabble." They are fun!

Rick, actually, I still have more in the stack, but I wanted to say a little more about them, so I decided upon doing a different article!

Sandy - this is an after-the-fact list! I don't keep a list...I buy the book and then look in my not-yet-read stacks to see what I'm in the mood for!

Elizabeth - I'm a cheap reader too...but usually not for my favorite writers...I wait for the paperback and/or when hard backs go on sale at paperback prices...but I do like new books unless I'm getting them at a yard sale for 25 cents! I pass most of my books on, so you could be right that I've duplicated some...I have a bad habit of buying a book more than once because I can't keep them straight whether I've read them already...sometimes I'll be into the middle of the book before I know for sure I've already read one...usually I go ahead and reread it... You know, there are a lot of "ideas" that are picked up from one author to another and then they write an entirely different book...I especially have a hard time with those since the material seems familiar but then I feel like I've not read some parts of it! Makes it interesting.
Since I read so much, I tend to forget what one book is about unless I reread the back cover or something...I've tried to keep a master list on Amazon...but it is too time consuming...I'd rather be reading! LOL

Charli...I'm sorry that I've not been able to find time to read more of your work...I certainly do enjoy reading what is on Gather...but sooooo many books, so little time...lol
One of my clients has me working with him on publicity so I spend a lot of time sitting in front of the computer...grabbing a book and sitting in a soft seat is the best way for me to relax after that!

Charli, re Kay Hooper...The one I just read was an earlier book reprinted. I "found" her during her Shadows Trilogy, read one and immediately bought the other two...She's had a Fear series...and gets into paranormal...I've enjoyed everything she's done!

Sounds like an interesting author and must be a good read if she's a favorite of a prolific book reviewer!

Charli, I enjoy reading women writers! Mysteries and suspense are for my fun reading, so there are lots of opportunities... Check out Kay sometime, I think you would enjoy her writing as well!
