And then she suggested I not let my hair get white (no worries there) as "old people's hearts can just stop! Just like that," she said making a clapping hand gesture, "and then they fall over". Where did this info come from? She and Mommy were watching 'Ugly Betty' and I guess my granddaughter failed to see the humor over that one.
I decided this Christmas that my granddaughter definitely needs some fantasy in her life, and your new book sounds perfect. She loves dinosaurs and recently told me some of them turned into 'birds'. I have no idea what that one is going to say next. :)
I know two special little ones on my shopping list that have had a rather rough two years. My five year old son would probably love it, too as he loves anything with music.
Alas, I'll be out of state (and spending Christmas with them and my family) as of Friday, so I doubt even if I were chosen that this would arrive in time.
Now my sister has three little girls and the task of keeping my mom happy in her little hospital-like cube is daunting and stressful. I would dearly love that book to give to her girls. It could be a special book for visiting "grandma" in the home. I haven't been able to thank my sister enough for taking on the burden I had planned to take on myself.
This book sounds great.

Merry Christmas.
She would love that book. When I read to her at night, she tells me she's not sleepy.
"See Mimi, I don'ts got my fingers in my mouf." Translation: I don't have my fingers in my mouth. Two seconds later, her fingers are in her little mouth. : }

They also read books at other times. I think books are important to a childs developement at any age. I am really proud of my Grandchildren. They have already learned the importance of books. They go to the library each week and pick out new books.
"No, it's not beans, it's macaroni," said the kindergarten kid. He was right. The necklace was made of macaroni colored red and green. :)
