I Had a Lovely Trip and Now I'm Home and Back on Gather

For ten days I filled my life with a 15 month-old grandson who transformed from a baby to a toddler since August (the last time I saw him.)  On Halloween he went upstairs as a little boy and came down the steps as a frog!  He made quite a cute frog. 

While in Maryland we visited a farm where we went on a hayride, slid down a hill on sacks, picked out pumpkins, chatted with turkeys, bunnies and assorted other livestock.  He loved sitting on a tractor with his mom and dad and seemed to be ready to start the engine and head out to plow a field.

My final day we went to Storyville an interactive mini town for children.  The little guy had me on the run for several hours.  He climbed steps, ran from the grocery store to the kitchen, to the garden area and everywhere in between.  He was a bit confused as to why he couldn't eat the realistic looking plastic food!

This is my second day back home.  Yesterday I was so tired I barely got off the couch.  Today I had enough energy to listen to a writer speak.   Tonight I rest again since tomorrow shall be busy.  My husband has some pieces in an art show which opens at 6 pm.  Then if there is time I hope to stop by for more from the author I met today.

Starting next week I get back to my writing.  I think I'm ready.  The break was helpful, sometimes a writer needs to get out in the world and live so they'll have something to write about!
