It's my little girls birthday today. She turned five years old. It seems like she was just born yesterday. Where does the time go? These five years have flown by so fast.
She had a wonderful Christmas. She recieved some really neat gifts this year for her birthday and Christmas. We got to spend alot of time with family at gatherings. I will post more about them with photos later.
I just wanted to share this special day of my daughters with all of you. My parents stayed with us for two days during the Christmas holiday. When it was time for them to go back to St. Louis, they asked my kids if they wanted to come and spend a few days with them. Of course my kids said yes. They worship the ground their Nana and Papa stand on.
Today they will spend Maddie's birthday taking the kids to the brand new cinema that just opened where they live. I'm not sure what movie they are going to see, and I'm sure that won't even matter. My kids will enjoy the time with them, no matter what movie is playing. I am blessed to have my parents in my life. They are outstanding grandparents to my children. The holidays have been extremely busy and it's nice for this Mom to have a little bit of down time. My husband and I have spent a very quiet day together. No running, no hurrying. It was relaxing with some naps and it was just what I needed to re-charge my battery. Thank you Mom and Dad. Also, Happy Birthday to my little girl. I can't believe you are five years old.
