Teaching Children to Read

I have been sitting down once a week with my three grandsons (ages 4, 4 & 3) and giving them a reading lesson. I am using "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" They are having fun learning, and even at their young ages, it is coming very easily to them. This is simply the best reading program I have ever seen, and I recommend it to everyone. This is what I used to teach my daughters to read, and they are both avid readers as adults. Everything is completely laid out...it even tells you what to say. At the end of each lesson, the children get to "write the sounds", so they are also learning to spell at the same time they are learning to read. My Aunt, who was an elementary school reading specialist gave me this book when I first started teaching my children, and it has been so well loved and used, it has fallen apart and is now in a three-ring binder. I can't say enough about this awesome reading program!
