Mine is a doll named Toodles by American Character. She is 20 inches tall and is made of heavy vinyl. She is jointed at the elbows and knees. She now sells for $700. if mint. I still have mine and wouldn't part with her for any amount. I got her 52 years ago. Do you have your favorite toy or just the memory?

We shared many good cries together!
the other, we found moving out here to plattsmouth,, my sister and my chatty kathy dall, in good condition,, and the last one is my little black doll, a hand me down from my oldes sister to my other to me,, made of heavy vinyl also, and in good condition,,
no clue on value nor do I it is not a concern, memories has no mometary value
We also had Lincoln Logs that use to be my father's when he was a kid...so they are probably the first sets made.
I didn't keep them because I know where to get more..
I had a little yellow pedal car my grandparents gave me. When we moved to California it and most of our toys were donated to the church. I had a black stuffed...it wasn't a doll or an amimal it was just a little person with a big head with blinking eyes, a pink mouth and pink dot in the ears. I called it Winky Brown and I was Mrs. Brown, the mother. My sister took custody of Winky when I was in high school.
Mine would probably be my kitty. I wanted it so bad it's a stuffed cat that at one time looked pretty realistic. I was so happy to see it as a gift.. though I can't remember if it was a birthday or Christmas gift.. probably was Christmas.
I went many years sleeping with it.. and for a while there could not sleep without it. It's worn but well loved. Now Gideon sometimes plays with it. :)
My Lincoln Log set is dated in the 70's and Gideon still plays with it when we visit there.
Unfortunately, all of my childhood toys mysteriously disappeared when I was in high school. But, this is one toy that I wish I still had.
Linda K - I just did the same thing
- my daughter grabbed up all my old barbie stuff from the 70's - she loves them and all the clothes!!
She also came across my cabbage patch kids & care bears 80's!!
