I have been feeling a bit down about this birthday -- just one more year to go the illustratious 4-0 and this year hasn't been a great year. But I decided this morning that I should celebrate -- life is much too short to spend it feeling bad about turning a year older! So tonight the hubby is taking me out for a birthday dinner (sushi -- yum!) and this weekend we'll have cake and ice cream with our kids and the in-laws. Hubby is going to bake me a cake -- spice cake with cream cheese frosting -- one of my favorites :-) As Mac (who will be three in a couple weeks) says -- "CAKE!!!!" And my little girl has promised me a handmade card worthy of "the best mommy in the whole world" -- how neat is that!
It's Friday and I'm going to enjoy a birthday weekend :-)
