I have a friend who hung her mom's wind chimes at her front and rear windows after mom passed. Now, every time she cusses...the wind comes up! It makes us both smile every time.
To mom's everywhere. Love is eternal.
Kyra, someday, I want a clipping from that rose - I'll plant it my yard.
So glad you kept it, Kyra.
Lovely story.

I know how you feel. Kyra.
I have plants that my dad planted and some that my son helped me plant and they are my most important possessions and always will be.
I even have my grandmother's Hollyhocks that she got from her mom, still growing and my children and grandchildren will keep them and their heritage alive through them.
I wish you peace.
Daniela~Thank you for sharing your story with me. I hope my mom will continue to find ways to communicate with me the way your dad does with you. Aside from this rose blooming... Mom has "shown herself" another time as well. I'll write about it someday soon. Thanks so much for reading, sharing your words and your sweet personality with me.
To everyone who has replies~I have to say.... I almost deleted this article after posting it. Why? Well, I guess because it feels so 'personal' and is so tender to my heart. I'm SO GLAD I didn't delete it. I see now that this is something that SHOULD be shared. Thank you so much for all your sincere, hearfelt words. I appreciate every single word and I'm deeply touched.
Blessings, dear Kyra.
:-)....I know it will be here much longer than she will...I will always think of her when I see it. I have 6 children and I love the idea of planting one for each of them as well. God bless you.....

How wonderful that the rose did bloom.
I equate a Yellow rose bush with my MIL who is suffering with Alzheimers, she gave us a cutting from her rose bush many years ago that she had rooted for us. Her yellow rose bush is the sweetest smelling rose my nose has ever had the pleasure of inhaling.
