Alrighty ..... Kimberly's on the road today, or....she's living in Allentown ...... temporarily...... so here I am filling in for her....and looking for your Tall Tales ....since whether she is here or not, it's still Thursday :)
Tis the season for road trips - and they can make for great stories, as Ina demonstrates here.....
So for this week's Tall Tales ..... perhaps you'd like to tell us about one of your own road trips?
It doesn't have to be one you've actually taken, of course. And it doesn't have to be true. It doesn't even have to be your own. You might choose to use a character you're working with for something else and send them on a road trip. The theme is Tall Tales, after all.
And whether you choose to do something for the prompt or not, of course, your contributions of prose, poetry, plays or memoirs are always welcome on Gather Writing Essentials.

Except the hotel wireless is down so I've hijacked some guy's nearby system.
Have a great day.
Glad to see you here, filling in for Kimberly. I hope Kimberly is having a nice road trip too. Ina's story is a gem :)
(1)I have had a teacher/parent conference with an Inuit woman squatting down with a baby at her exposed breast while in the other hand she held a knife with which she cleaned fish.
(2) A high school student of mine once left my room-mate and myself on a deserted island in the Yukon River and threatened not to come back for us.
(3) I once had a moose stick his head in the window of my one room cabin and eat a cabbage that was on the table near the window.
Want anymore?
