You don't get points for commenting or having a group. You get points for good articles, photos, videos, viewings, and comments other make on your work. Commenting on others gets you friends who are interested in viewing and commenting on your work. Also, clicking ads gets you points. Good luck.

Some of the information in this post is incorrect...in fact, clicking on ads you have no legitimate interest in will actually harm Gather and ultimately the points system.
If an advertiser feels that they are not generating genuine hits from advertising here, they can pull their ad, which is a loss of potential income for Gather.
Nor can I figure out how to get "traffic" to my postings. I just take it as it is... it's fun no matter what.
Thank you for the clarification...but your post is not worded this way. Your post makes a clear connection between clicking ads and getting points, which is NOT the case. If members heed your words above (or in your duplicate post), they can actually end up REDUCING points available to members long-term.
